A Symphony of Flavors and Aromas
When it comes to the taste and characteristics, this coffee will wow you! This lot, farmed by Coopbam member Luis Angascpilco Inga, is a glowing testament to the cooperative’s commitment to quality. The coffee is clean and full-bodied, brimming with vibrant flavors and floral aromas. It has a velvety smooth body, a gentle acidic quality reminiscent of a ripe orange and notes of vanilla, root beer, dark chocolate, maraschino cherry, and bourbon.
Coffee and the Rainforest
Deforestation in the Amazon Rainforest has led to the loss of over 30 million hectares of tree cover and 15.6 Gt of additional CO₂ emissions in the past decade. Unsustainable coffee production can contribute to this devastation, but when farmers adopt eco-friendly practices, coffee can protect the forest and enrich biodiversity.
A cooperative that cares
Coopbam, located within the Alto Mayo Protected Rainforest in the Amazonas region of Peru, has been pivotal in protecting the rainforest and empowering local farmers since 2014. Their commitment to reforestation, gender equity, and access to education and healthcare has significantly impacted the region. This lot, farmed by Coopbam member Luis Angascpilco Inga, showcases the cooperative’s dedication to quality and sustainability.
